Life is Simple.
Humans make it difficult! I have adopted this saying from my husband who as an Agricultural Contractor spends the majority of his working days outside enjoying nature at its best.
To be honest I am not sure how he manages to stay so positive about it in winter when the wind and rain accompanies him but he does. His attitude is, you can’t change the weather so just got on with it! I find it difficult to enjoy the outside when it is a dull, wet, windy day however when spring arrives and the sun beams down across the glorious green fields of our landscape I envy him being able to work outside every day.
As he watches nature change our landscape and animals being born to their proud mums it is indeed here that his theory on ‘life is simple, humans make it difficult’ is born.
We as humans do indeed sometimes embrace the very things that make our life difficult. We allow ourselves to get caught up in ‘stuff’ that if we just walked away from would make our life easier. We hold on to things / people that no longer serve us and allow these to hold us back.
My starting point with all my work is indeed to ask others what ‘stuff’ is in their thoughts, how is this stuff making them feel and indeed what in an ideal world would their life look like. It is amazing how once we start to work on stripping back their ‘stuff’ how the path ahead becomes much easier. The chaos turns to calm and they do indeed begin to understand how they have made their life difficult.
Today I urge you to take a step back from the chaos, look at ways to simplify your life and start to discover how indeed if we tap into the world / nature around us it shows us that if we allow it we can learn how to develop a life that flows with less difficulty and more ease.
