What part does faith play in business?

Thirteen years on August 2nd I started my business Awaken, with no money, no credit and no contacts. Over the years I have often felt like giving it all up, finding a different way to be employed, however as time has passed I am so grateful that I held onto the faith that all would be well and that I would continue to stay in business for many years to come.

Since 2010 when I started out as a business owner, I have seen many other businesses crumble and close down and it makes me sad to think that if they had look in the right place for help, kept the faith and took small steps towards inspired action they would still be here today.

It is the same in life, how often do we give up when just one more step, one more day could change whatever situation we are in around.

If you have ever read Napoleon Hill’s book ‘Think Rich, Grow Rich’ you will know of the chapter where the miner was digging for gold. The said miner dug and dug to no avail so handed the shovel to someone else who within a short while struck the gold, if only the first miner had kept the faith it would have been him who indeed ended up with the riches that the gold provided.

Now you may think that this is just a story however my hubby was asked recently to find a broken water pipe for someone. The said person had begun to dig a trench to find it to no avail however a couple of extra feet of digging would have led him to the problem as said hubby discovered!

Business (and indeed life)  can be testing at times however holding on to faith that all will work out as it should, that your constant mining or digging will indeed one day pay off is maybe not the whole solution however how it does go a long way to it.

I can’t speak for everyone however I have seen proof that those who don’t give up, who hold onto faith, who believe that the right outcome will show itself do indeed see the results they desire even if not straight away.

So, next time you think that giving up is the only option, try giving faith in the outcome you desire a chance, it’s certainly worth a try is it not?
